Halcyon Realty Group serves both Buyers and Sellers including Investors, Second Home Buyers, First time Home Buyers, For Sale by Owners (FSBOs) and small Business owners with their Real Estate needs. We offer consulting services that you can pay for by the hour, flat fee or traditional commission.
Our company name "Halcyon" (pronounced hal'-see-on or hælsiən) means Peace, Prosperity and Golden. These are things we want for our clients and our company to ensure a long lasting relationship.
Peace: We strive to deliver Peace of mind to our clients throughout the transaction by first and foremost working for your best interest which is called our fiduciary duty; this is not sacrificed or excluded in your choices of services. We handle the details of the transaction and communicate status to you by your preferred method of communication. We also keep up to date with the latest real estate regulations, community news and the local real estate market and share that information with you.
Prosperity: According to Webster's Dictionary Prosperity means economic well being. We're looking after your Prosperity in this sense whether we represent you as a Buyer or a Seller. We negotiate the best possible deal on your behalf including price, terms and conditions. We work to deliver the best value for your money providing choices on services so you pay for what you need based on your unique situation. Because we offer transparent fees, you will know exactly what you are paying for and how much it will cost. We also provide professional advice on things like resale value considerations, home improvement suggestions as to not over or under improve for a neighborhood, market analysis and comparables with recommendations.

We thought it might be fun for our clients to learn about why we chose the logo and color scheme to go with our name Halcyon Realty Group plus a little trivia about the origination of the word Halcyon.
  
The Kingfisher bird was the inspiration for the logo we created thanks to Suzanne Stephens and John Woodcock.
According to Wikipedia, Halcyon, a term that originates from the Greek myth of Alcyone, is used most often to mean golden or marked by peace and prosperity. In the context of the legend, the halcyon is a type of kingfisher bird that builds its nest by the sea; the bird charms the winds and waves so that seas remain unusually calm during its nesting season, the seven days before and seven days after the winter solstice.
Another association with Halcyon is a star system in the constellation Taurus. It is the brightest star in the Pleiades open cluster. Alcyone is approximately 440 light years from Earth. It is named after the mythological figure Alcyone, one of the mythological Pleiades.
The phrase "Halcyon days" is a literary commonplace in English language and culture, signifying ideals of prosperity, bonhomie, joy, liberation, or tranquility. The usage descended through Old English from the Greek language expression, meaning "days of the halcyon (kingfisher)" literally and "calm days" metaphorically.
A poem of this name was written by Walt Whitman (1819-1892):
